A late 18c silk and linen damask fragment from Lucca Cathedral. This is a lovely piece, narrow width soft red and golden yellow silks woven with linen, one selvedge. The last picture shows reverse. There is a small repaired slit along one edge - 1.4" long, this can be seen in main picture, otherwise a great antique textile in good usable condition. Would make a beautiful cushion.
