This is a small fragment beautiful high end dress fabric - vibrant red & black silk woven with lots of silver metallic threads dating from the 1920s.
This was a purse in it's last life, a unique fabric fragment with an interesting & unusual oriental inspired design, a very narrow width at only 18 1/2" wide selvedge to selvedge. Very good reverse which is shown on the right in the last image. Total length 9 inches longest, 6 1/2ins shortest centre. A little expected tarnish as shown, but generally in very good usable condition suitable for many small textile projects.
