A beautiful bold design of abundant flora on this extra long chintz pelmet from a French country house. .Framed and lined in 'seaweed' design chintz.. All in good period colours :pinks, dark red, ochre, yellow and a little blue & cream on a jade green (viridian) ground.
The chintz has lots of shine and there is no fade, not even under the tucks, the tucks are made with one stitch only, very easy to undo if buyer wishes. Nothing to detract from the charm of this lovely well made 19c pelmet. Fully lined in cinnamon on cream Victorian seaweed design cotton chintz.
To be sent special delivery 'next day' in the UK and insured 'signed for' airmail to overseas. Overall the pelmet is in very good to excellent usable condition
The pelmet measures 169" long along bottom, 92" along tucked top x 17" deep.
