This interesting waistcoat is made from fine red wool with a fine diagonal mid blue & green stripe. Quite large lapels, double breasted style, two front pockets. The back is taupe cotton with two flaps - no laces..
Eighteen original burgundy silk covered metal buttons to close, half of these are worn. Moth nips to collar & lower left hand side concentrated in a small area also a short rip to the REVERSE of same side, all is covered if waistcoat worn fastened on the opposite side, please see last two images.
Overall this unusual antique waistcoat is in fair + to good condition, wearable if you don't mind the little holes..
Measures : 38" chest, 35" waist 18.4" long back, 3/4" long centre front.
