Beautiful antique handmade cream floral lace hem panel on fine cream linen tape, this tape is loosley attached to pink silk satin. The lace was part of a collection which came from an English convent, most of it originated from Belgium. The lace feels very soft is very fine and intricate, excellent quality. I wondered if the very fine floral motifs were earlier and worked into the background later. There a few tiny holes in the net background (also handworked) and a slit just over one inch long, some age spotting which could probably be removed with care. Generally this special antique lace is in very good usable condition.
Measures - 9.2" wide x 116" long.
