Beautiful chintz fabric panel with gorgeous painterly design of large carnations in pinks, greens, bluey green and pale blue and cross and spot design in the background - all on a cream ground - circa 1870.
The fabric has a slight sheen to it. I doubt this has ever been washed, showing very little wear or fading. Rufflette tape attached and a recent cream cotton lining. There is a vertical seam which is quite well matched, some age speckling which does not detract from the charm of this lovely chintz. and I found a small tear in the lining otherwise the fabric is in excellent usable condition. Please note - there is a matching pair of the same curtains in this section.
