A beautiful bold design of abundant flora on this long shaped chintz pelmet from an English country house. The chintz still has a lot of shine and there is slight general fade, a bit shabby chic, All in good period colours :pinks, reds, green and a little blue on a dark cream ground.
The pink cotton lining is a bit grubby and there are a few small seam openings at the top of each panel where tassels or maybe covered buttons were attached. These are which are hard to see, this does not detract from the charm of this lovely well made pelmet. Interlined and lined in cream glazed cotton, really quite heavy, To be sent special delivery in the UK and insured 'signed for' airmail abroad.. Overall the pelmet is in very good usable condition
To give you an idea of size the pelmet measures : 89" wide x 32.4" longest (deep) two outer panels. 2 x 27" next longest. 2 x 24.7" inner panels. Centre panel is 24.3" long 12.4"..
